Sizzling
New Show to Debut at Scullers Jazz Club
in
Boston this November
Boston,
Mass—November 1, 2007—What does ABC’s Dancing
with the Stars host Tom Bergeron have in common with WPLM’s Ron
Della Chiesa, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Herb Reed of the
Platters and WBZ talk master Jordan Rich? All are indigenous to Boston
and all have witnessed first-hand what audiences and critics acclaim as
powerful, witty, outrageous and delightful—the uniquely dynamic talent
that is Carol O’Shaughnessy.
On Wednesday, November 28th at 8 p.m. this variety artist
will return to Boston and consume the venerable Scullers Jazz Club,
located inside the Double Tree Guest Suites Hotel at 400 Soldiers Field
Road in Boston, with the debut of her one woman show Fanning the Flames; Don’t Try
This at Home! backed by the commanding Tom LaMark Orchestra.
O’Shaughnessy, known by her legion of loyal fans simply as Carol O,
began her singing and dancing career appearing in school plays at the
age of eight leading to membership in an all female group called the Harmonettes
which found a starry-eyed, half Italian, half Irish Arlington, Mass.
girl performing back-up vocals for a young emerging artist named Tony
Bennett.
Whether
performing on an intimate stage with powerhouse divas like Dream
Girl’s legend Jennifer Holliday or before a throng alongside comedy
diva Joan Rivers, O’Shaughnessy connects with her audiences with a
natural intimacy that many seasoned artists work their whole lives to
achieve.
From the supper clubs of New York to stages of L.A. and around the
world, audiences have been captivated by the controlled vocals and
side-splitting humor of Carol O’Shaughnessy and Mama Scugliacci, one
of her many alter egos, earning her numerous industry awards and
achievements.
In addition to her live performances, O’Shaughnessy has released three
CD’s: The Way I See It,
Live at Scullers and
Ring-a-Ding-Ding...The Music of the Rat Pack.
